Why now?

The acquisition of Sun Country Airlines by Allegiant in May 2026 may represent future change for the airline, however it does not change the priorities of the Sun Country Pilots. Our immediate focus remains to secure meaningful improvements to key areas of our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) before shifting our focus to Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) negotiations.

What's Happening?

Your Negotiating Committee has presented a comprehensive proposal to Sun Country and Allegiant management in pursuit of a 2 year contract extension under Section 6 of the Railway Labor Act. At the same time, we are preparing for the merger process to ensure Sun Country pilots enter future JCBA negotiations from the strongest possible position.

What's Next?

Our focus remains clear: Negotiate a strong Section 6 agreement. Following ratification, our priority will shift to negotiating a JCBA that establishes a single contract for the combined pilot group while protecting and building upon the provisions gained in our current Sun Country Pilot Collective Bargaining Agreement.
